Dependants: protecting the whole family with a single policy
Spouse, children, dependent parents: understand who is covered by your contract and how to follow everyone’s entitlements in AXCEN Care.
Health insurance does not only protect the person who took out the contract. Depending on the guarantees chosen, it can cover their loved ones, who are then known as dependants.
Who can be a dependant?
The precise definition depends on the contract and on the country’s regulations, but it generally includes:
- the policyholder’s spouse or partner;
- dependent children, up to the age set by the contract;
- sometimes other dependent persons, if the contract provides for it.
To know your family’s exact situation, refer to your contract or ask your organisation.
One space for the whole family
In AXCEN Care, the policyholder finds the information related to their dependants: insurance cards, guarantees and reimbursement tracking. No more juggling several documents when a child sees a doctor or a relative is hospitalised.
For companies: declaring and updating
On the employer side, AXCEN Corporate makes it possible to manage employees and their dependants, as well as enrolments, terminations and changes in circumstances. A marriage, a birth or a departure can thus be taken into account without undue delay.
Remember to report changes
A birth, a marriage or any change in circumstances may alter your entitlements. By informing your organisation or HR department quickly, you avoid difficulties when presenting a card or requesting a reimbursement.
Simply protecting
AXCEN’s aim is that a policyholder never has to wonder whether one of their loved ones is covered: the information is clear, up to date and accessible.
